It’s Another Sunday Morning

It’s Another Sunday Morning

by Bob Burridge ©2007

It’s another Sunday morning, the first day of the week.
It’s not a day for working and it’s not a day to sleep.
We rise up with the sunshine, get the kids all dressed and fed.
Then we head on off to Sunday School, to hear what God has said.

Chorus:
It’s another Sunday morning, the day the Lord has made.
We come to thank our Savior for the price of sin he paid.
God’s people come together, through that one and only way,
to bow our heads in worship as we sing, and learn, and pray.

It’s another Sunday afternoon, the family gathers ’round.
We thank God for our blessings which by grace he makes abound.
We talk about the sermon, so we won’t forget to do
all the things that show we love the Lord, and love our neighbor too.

Chorus:
It’s another Sunday morning, the day the Lord has made.
We come to thank our Savior for the price of sin he paid.
God’s people come together, through that one and only way,
to bow our heads in worship as we sing, and learn, and pray.

Now it’s another Sunday evening, soon we’ll all be off to bed.
We’ll wake up Monday morning to do what the Lord has said.
May our Sunday time be precious and show God that we care,
for all the things he’s done in love, when our burden he did bear.

Chorus:
It’s another Sunday morning, on the day the Lord had made.
We came to show our God our love for the price that Jesus paid.
May it linger in our mem’rys, may it keep our hands from sin
May it fill our lives with joy and peace and may it make us more like Him.
